A Heartfelt Notice to Our Valued Guests

It is with deep sadness that we share this news.

Due to ongoing ill health, extensive maintenance requirements, and continued delays to our reopening, The Bell Hotel & Tearooms has now been handed back to the landlord and placed into administration.

Without good health, the task of bringing the business back to full strength became too great to overcome.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to all our guests, our landlord, our wonderful staff, and the many incredible people who have supported us along the way. Your kindness, encouragement, and loyalty have meant more than we can ever say.

As many of you know, a business like ours relies heavily on the busy months of November and December. The winter period is incredibly challenging, and although we had hoped to recover, the time needed for healing has created a gap too wide to bridge. We know this has let many people down, and for that, we are truly and deeply sorry. 

Refunds have been issued where possible, but the strain of covering all suppliers while remaining closed for so long has been immense.

Anyone who has made a booking or is a supplier will be contacted directly by the administrator in the coming days.
